History
Since its founding in 1976, Language House has been empowering Japanese professionals through its innovative approach to business English education.
The history of Language House began nearly 60 years ago, when a young man from New Zealand, Graham Page, came to Japan with a dream of teaching English to Japanese learners. He quickly realized that the standardized English education system in Japan was not the most effective way for Japanese people to communicate in English. Driven by this insight, he began developing his own philosophy and method focused on helping learners “Communicate and Persuade.” Over the years, he created original texts and teaching materials based on this philosophy, refining them through repeated testing with his students.
And in 1976, Language House Co., Ltd. was officially founded. Starting from Shikoku, the company steadily expanded its operations and has since grown to become one of the leading business English training providers in western Japan.
